Interior Check

Property Security and Appearance

• Replace broken light bulbs (if easily accessible)
• Replace batteries of smoke detectors and similar devices if necessary (if easily accessible)
• Adjust blinds and curtains; reprogram the lighting schedule to simulate a presence and improve security
• Visually check garage and vehicles; upon request charge battery or change position of vehicle(s) on property to make property look occupied

Climate

• Perform indoor climate and "smell check"; air rooms out as necessary
• Check heating or A/C for proper operation and cost efficiency setting (thermostat set to owner preference with increase/decrease as needed)
• Replace air filters of A/C as needed

Appliance Operations

• Check proper operation of refrigerator, freezer and wine cooler
• Check TV/internet router and other electronic devices (turn off or unplug if not in use with owner's request and authorization)
• Check water heater (visually inspect for leaks)

Visual Inspection for leaks, damage or irregularities

• Visually check for structural damage on windows, walls, ceilings and floors; check for obvious signs of water damage
• Check for leaks under sinks in the kitchen and bathrooms
• Visually inspect laundry room, storage room
• Check for any other kind of damage or irregularity

Upkeep

• Operate faucets in kitchen and bathrooms and flush toilets (to prevent a build up of mineral deposits)
• Water indoor plants
• Check for unpleasant odors
